2018 NATIONAL FORUM

WORKSHOP CALLOUT: Each year at the National Forum sex workers contribute workshops to our program. These workshops are always listed as a highlight for many people attending the conference. The peer to peer sharing of our knowledge, experience and skills is the foundation of our sex worker community, and what makes National Forum such a great event. We welcome workshops from any sex workers — if you would like to run a workshop with another sex worker or if you would like to talk through your ideas we welcome you to post your ideas on the Scarlet e-list for discussion and feedback, or to gauge interest in a certain topic. We especially encourage culturally and linguistically diverse sex workers to submit workshop outlines. Don’t worry if English is not your first language, we can connect you with other workers if you would like support in putting together your workshop.

Workshop proposals can take on many forms. They can be:
-Performances
-Skillshares
-Presentations
-Activities
-Discussions
-A display, or art project

2017 NATIONAL FORUM

WORKSHOPS:
Workshop submissions close on the 21st of July and are always considered a highlight by attendees.

The National Forum provides a fantastic opportunity for peers to network, share current information on trends and practices, participate in skill share workshops, inform Scarlet Alliance of state based issues affecting sex workers and be informed of Scarlet Alliance and our members’ activities.

National Forum 2016, Kaurna Country, Adelaide, South Australia

Held over three exciting days from 8 to 10 November in Adelaide, the national meeting for sex workers packs in:

National Forum (sex worker only - free) Presentations, workshops, discussion, consultation, policy development, sex workers panels, trends/changes/legal conditions across each state and territory, peer education and more. Agenda below.

Annual General Meeting (AGM) (Scarlet Alliance delegates and membership). Election of office bearers (executive committee), spokespersons, delegates to represent the organisation, reports from the executive committee, presentation of financial reports. Note all elected positions become vacant. See details below.
