Scarlet Alliance has been running a capacity development program in Papua New Guinea since 2005, and has recently expanded to Fiji and Timor Leste. This work is based on the self determination of the sex worker communities involved, and the importance of sex worker community led response to HIV/AIDS, human rights and community development. We are proud to have assisted in the formation of a national sex worker organisation in Papua New Guinea, Friends Frangipani. Janelle will elaborate on this work and answer questions about Scarlet Alliance international programming, including our membership of the HIV Consortia.
