New Zealand High Court "Panckhurst Ruling" 29 July 2005

This case is regarding the role of local councils and the Bylaw Act of 1910, and its implication in the decriminalisation of both brothels and private sex workers. Private sex workers in New Zealand now have the right, upheld in this ruling, to operate without the need for approval from their local council, and for brothels to not be segregated to industrial areas.
